Koh Samed or Ko Samet is a island tourist attraction in Ban Phe sub-district, Rayong province. Koh Samed is away from the coast Ban Phe approximately 6.5 kms. Space is approximately 3,125 rai. Island is similar to a triangle.
There are many popular beach such as:
- Saikaew Beach: the longest, widest and the most popular beach, eastcoast of the island;
- Ao Prao Beach: small and private beach with a few resorts;
- Ao Vong Duen: further down and the largest second to Saikaew beach of eastcoast side. Many beach resorts can be found here;
- Ao Wai: almost the last beach of the island, private and isolcated area;
- Ao Kiew: existing of Paradee resort, 6-star beach resort. The best place of watching both the sunset and the sunrise.
- Ao Pakarang: the southernmost beach of the island, Nimmanoradee resort is only one here. Here is a good place for snorkeling near the resort.
Good season of visiting is during Oct to Apr every year.
